West Ham midfielder Dimitri Payet has joined Marseille after the two teams agreed a deal for the French international.
The 29 year old had told West Ham he no longer wanted to play for them earlier this month and has been training with the clubs U23s.
The London club turned down two bids from Marseille for Payet but finally agreed to let go of the French international in a deal worth £25m plus £5m in add-ons.
West Ham boss Slaven Bilic first confirmed details of Payet’s refusal to play for the club at a press conference on January 12 and the news was received with anger by the team’s supporters.
Payet scored 15 goals in 60 appearances for West Ham and was rewarded with a new five-and-a-half year deal last February.
It is understood the France international will take a £25,000 wage cut from his £125,000-a-week salary following the switch.
